Hello everyone,

We’re getting close to locking in our final production numbers and moving into mass production — and we’re so excited! 🎉

To make sure everything is accurate, we wanted to send a quick, friendly reminder that there are still a few backers who haven’t completed their BackerKit Survey yet.

Your responses help us get the exact counts we need for the knife finish and pocket clip orientation. The sooner we have everyone’s preferences, the faster we can finalize everything and get into production. Our manufacturing partner is reminding us to get these numbers to them ASAP.

If we don’t hear back from the remaining 54 backers by Monday, April 20th, we’ll need to default those orders to:

• ONAMI in the SEIGAIHA pattern
• with a right-handed pocket clip

This is because it is currently the most requested configuration in the survey. We will then send off the final count to our manufacturing partner.

Hey Backers,

Smoke Test completed

Our smoke test was successful! We are now sending out BackerKit Survey invitations to everyone. If you did not receive an email, here are instructions on how to retrieve it.

BackerKit Instructions

Visit: 

Enter in your Kickstarter email address and you will be sent your link. If you are having trouble, please message us and we will assist you. 

If you sign on to Kickstarter using APPLEID, you will not be able to retrieve your survey so we will have to manually assist you in updating your email address with BackerKit. Send us a private message and we will update it on the back-end.

ADD-ONS

We have added some pretty awesome MankerLight flashlights under a new section called Clearance & Open Box. These flashlights are in perfect working condition (they are mainly customer returns and/or open box items). They come complete with manufacturers warranty and are tested individually before shipping (the packaging may be damaged or opened but the product and accessories inside are fine). They are basically 50% OFF retail. They are limited in quantity.

Can't Import in knives/blades?

For some international backers that might have legal issues importing in knives/blades, we've added an ADD-ON that is free of charge that says "PLEASE SHIP WITHOUT BLADES" which means we will ship your ONAMI without ANY BLADES. The utility blades are standard and you will be able to find them locally (e.g. hardware stores).

Hey Backers,

We did it!

Thank you so much to every single one of you who pledged and helped make our Kickstarter campaign a success! We're truly grateful for the trust you've placed in this project. We couldn't have reached our goal without you.

Funds Collection Phase

As a quick heads-up on the next steps: Kickstarter now takes approximately 2 weeks (14 calendar days) after the campaign ends to collect and process all the pledges, handle any payment issues, and then release the funds to us. Once those funds are in our account (which may take a few extra days to fully appear), we'll move quickly to prepare and send out invitations to our BackerKit survey. This will allow us to get your final reward selections, addresses, and any other details we need to fulfill everything smoothly.

This period right after the campaign closes is often called the "quiet time" for projects — things might seem a little silent on our end while we wait for the funds — but rest assured, we're actively monitoring everything and will be back in touch with updates and the BackerKit invites as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience during this standard processing window!

Our Next Project: KEYSPARK

In the meantime, we wanted to share something exciting with you: We're gearing up to launch another project soon that we're really excited about, and we'd love to have your support again when it goes live. 

Just to address any questions that might come up: This upcoming project is being developed in partnership with a different manufacturing partner. We want to be clear that this will not cause any delay or impact to the manufacturing and fulfillment timeline for your current ONAMI project — we're keeping everything on separate tracks to ensure smooth progress for both.
